France’s coach Laurent Tillie: “It was a little bit unexpected, because we were a bit tired. We served very well tonight. There was less spirit than usual, but the volleyball all round tonight was better than Italy.”
Italian coach Gianlorenzo Blengini: “It was a difficult match. France played a lot of qualification matches, so they’ve played a lot of matches, while this was our first and I think that was visible. We are a work in progress. We need to find good solutions. Their serve was a problem, this is one thing where our teams need to be better. We need to find more confidence with our receiving.”
