Outside hitter/receiver from Trinidad and Tobago, Channon Thompson, came to Béziers as a medical joker (rule that allows French teams to hire newcomers outside transfer window to fill the gap of injured player). She will replace Héléna Cazaute, who is out until the end of the season. Thompson spent last season in Turkish Seramiksan.

Besides Cazaute, two more players from Béziers’s squad are injured at the moment: German setter Lena Möllers, out for 4-6 weeks, and Colombian middle blocker Yeisy Soto, out until the end of January.
