After the game started close, TOURS VB profited of the many errors committed by the young Serbian side and the opening set was cashed in 23 minutes with Kamil Baranek contributed six points to the home side. With some 2’500 spectators in attendance at “Robert Grenon” sports hall TOURS VB controlled quite comfortably the operations also in the second set (25-15) even though outside hitter Nemanja Jakovljevic performed quite well for Crvena Zvezda.
TOURS VB could even opt for some substitutions in the third set with Soane Falafala replacing David Konecny and Stanislav Simin for Gérald Hardy-Dessources, and Crvena Zvezda was able to keep the score a little tight up to the second technical time-out. Still it was TOURS VB to have the upper hand in the end for a much desired 3:0 win that leaves the door open for a spot in the next stage of the competition. Kamil Baranek eventually top scored for TOURS VB with 15 points while Dusan Petkovic registered 13 for the guests from Serbia.
