ASPTT MULHOUSE was missing its captain Anna Rybaczewski and hence could not fight on equal terms with the hosts even though Iuliia Ferulik and Alexia Djilali played quite well for the team from Alsace. Still the local heroines captained by Christina Bauer showed great Volleyball and did so especially in the key moments of each set. Middle blocker Valentina Arrighetti could eventually top the charts of the best scorers with 12 points, the same haul registered by Bauer, while Tatjana Bokan paced ASPTT MULHOUSE with 14.
Unendo Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO dominated the scene in the opening set with the attacks by Juliann Faucette and the blocks by Arrighetti (25-13); in the second the hosts trailed for a while in the score but they eventually fought their way back with 2 aces by Margareta Kozuch and 4 points contributed by Francesca Marcon. Carli Lloyd closed the set with two blocks (25-20) with libero Giulia Leonardi playing very solid in defense. Arrighetti and Bauer stood out for the home side in set 3 and even though Bokan played really good, ASPTT MULHOUSE eventually surrendered in straight sets.
