Kévin Le Roux scored 21 points for Rennes, while Gérald Hardy-Dessources made 88% attack (7/8).
The defending champions Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 Haute-Marne lost to Stade Poitevin Volley Beach (Poitiers) by a 3-1 to fall to No.3.
