After the elimination of Germany from the FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship, Maren Brinker has retired from the national tea.
She was a member of the team for 11 years and played in 321 matches.
“My heart is bleeding because I have to leave, but the team will grow without me. It will be better not to have me as a mother always around,” said Maren Brinker.
“I’m sorry our captain is leaving. However, she is making space for your younger players,” added coach Koslowski.
