VfB Friedrichshafen played the second match in the 2019/20 1. Bundesliga Männer regular season in only four days but managed to keep their invincibility despite that (5-0). Friedrichshafen hit a roadblock named Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee in Round 5 but successfully went around it: 3-1 (22-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-20). Tight schedule forced Friedrichshafen head coach Warm to give the chance to a few bench players today. Estonian Martti Juhkami top-scored for the winning side with 20 points. Theo Timmermann made 19 for Netzhoppers.
Berlin Recycling Volleys were successful on the road (3-0) against WWK Volleys Herrsching to settle at the top of the charts with 6-0. The Friedrichshafen – Berlin duo is followed in the standings by United Volleys Frankfurt (No.3 with 4-1).
