It’s not yet official but Friedrichshafen reached an agreement with the young opposite hitter Linus Weber. The 20-year-old player is coming to the “Häfler” from Italy’s Allianz Milano where he served as a backup to Nimir Abdel-Aziz. Interestingly, Weber was a member of Friedrichshafen’s fiercest rivals in the country, Berlin Recycling Volleys, prior to going to Italy. He even won the Bundesliga title with the team from the German capital.
In addition to Weber, Friedrichshafen promoted 17-year-old outside hitter Ben-Simon Bonin from their youth team Volley Youngstars Friedrichshafen competing in the second division. Actually, they signed the professional contract with a player valid for the next two years.
At the same time, Friedrichshafen parted ways with Austrian outside hitter Anton Menner who went to HELIOS Grizzlys Giesen.
