Dresdner SC – SC Potsdam 3-2 (16-25, 21-25, 25-20, 28-26, 15-10)
Dresden successfully used the first opportunity in a real drama and for the ninth time in the history of the club reached the finals of the German championship. The team of head coach Alexander Waibl won the second semifinal match against SC Potsdam. After an initial 0-2 in sets, Dresden turned the game around and ended the series with a 3-2 win.
Allianz MTV Stuttgart – SSC Palmberg Schwerin 3-0 (25-20, 28-26, 25-21)
Stuttgart tied the series and the second playoff finalist will be decided today.
The team led by their captain Krystal Rivers was under a lot of pressure after the defeat in the first game of the semifinals. Stuttgart controlled most of the game, only the second set brought some uncertainty, but the home team showed that they are calmer and more concentrated and this part of the game also moved to their side. With the final score of 3-0, Stuttgart secured the third game and increased the chances of entering the finals of the German championship.
