In the previous season, players of VfB Friedrichshafen showed solid performances in the CEV Champions League and finished at the top after the regular season of the Bundesliga. On the other hand they had a turbulent periods when they had to leave their home, ZF Arena, due to problems in building elements and construction, relegation in the German Cup semifinals and defeat in the Bundesliga playoff finals. After analyzing the season, club management decided not to renew the collaboration with Michael Warm, while Linus Weber decided to look for a new challenge in Italy.
After two seasons as head coach of VfB Friedrichshafen, coach Michael Warm and the club agreed to end the collaboration. Michael Warm contract with the Friedrichshafen volleyball team expired at the end of the 2020/2021 season and will not been extended.
Linus Weber decided to look for a new challenge in Italy and next season he will defend the colors of Kioene Padova.
