While the German Volleyball league is almost in the final sprint of the playoffs, the events in the other European leagues turns slowly to the finish line. Marcus Popp celebrates his first title of the season, and he is almost the only one to celebrate German victories in Russia. In contrast, Simon Tischer missed participating in the finals of the Polish Cup and at the same time a "German final" against Jochen Schöps.

France

In France, Marcus Popp celebrates his first title of the season. In the French Cup final, his club Tours met Toulouse and ended up with a 3-1 victory (29:27, 25:22, 20:25, 25:22).

Russia

Located in the Russian league, Georg Grozer (Belgorod), Björn Andrae (Kemerovo) and Lukas Kampa (Kharkiv), took part in the playoffs. While there was an unchallenged victory 3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 25-16) against Dinamo Moscow for Grozer (20 points), Andrae’s (16 pts) team surprisingly won against third-placed Dinamo Krasnodar 3 : 1 (25-18, 25-13, 23-25, 25-17). The only German defeat was Lukas Kampa’s defeat against Ural Ufa. His team lost 0:3 (22-25, 23-25, 17-25).

Poland

In the final of the Polish Cup Jochen Schöps (Rzeszow) reached the final. Simon Tischer had the chance to take part in the “German final“. However, his team, Jastrzębski Węgiel lost the deciding game against Kędzierzyn-Koźle 3:1 (25:19, 21:25, 25:20, 25:13) and thus was forced to retire from the final game.
