In the opening match of the German Bundesliga’s third round, SSC Palmberg Schwerin faced SC Potsdam, following a brief 4-day break after the PALMBERG Supercup. Despite Potsdam’s significantly revamped squad and strong performances in their previous matches, Schwerin triumphed convincingly in three sets after 105 minutes. The set scores were 25-21, 25-19, and 25-22.
Burcu Tutku Yüzgenc led the match in scoring with 13 points, while Indy Baijens contributed 12 for Schwerin. Rodica Buterez and Katrina Suvi Kokkonen were the most effective players for Potsdam, each tallying 11 points.
Felix Koslowski, the Schwerin coach, expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance after the Supercup, emphasizing the hard work they put in during the lead-up to the game. Linda Bock, who performed exceptionally well, praised the team’s strong blocking and defense that helped them control Potsdam.
