Allianz MTV Stuttgart secured the German Super Cup title with a 3-1 victory over SSC Palmberg Schwerin. The match, held at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, was closely contested in front of nearly 6,000 spectators. Schwerin took the first set 27-25, but Stuttgart responded by winning the next three sets (27-25, 25-22, 25-16) to clinch the victory.
The turning point came during the second set when Schwerin’s setter, Vedrana Jaksetic, suffered a knee injury while Schwerin was leading 18-12. This setback derailed Schwerin’s momentum, allowing Stuttgart to level the match and take control. Krystal Rivers shined for Stuttgart, scoring 27 points and earning the MVP award.
Despite Schwerin’s determined effort, they struggled due to injuries, including Jaksetic’s during the game and outside hitter Nova Marring’s absence, who was sidelined before the match.
