Allianz MTV Stuttgart secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory against SSC Palmberg Schwerin in front of 2,107 fans at the SCHARRena. Despite missing star player Krystal Rivers due to illness, Stuttgart’s Pauline Martin stepped up, contributing vital points and being named MVP. Maria Segura and Jolien Knollema also had standout performances.
Stuttgart led early, with Knollema scoring an ace to go up 2-0, while Martin’s attack gave them a 3-1 edge. Schwerin fought back, but Stuttgart held strong, winning the first two sets 25-17 and 25-11. Schwerin mounted a comeback, taking the third and fourth sets 25-20 and 25-17, forcing a tie-break. Stuttgart regained control in the final set, with Martin’s block at 10-5 sealing a 15-10 victory.
