BR Volleys Grab 2nd Straight Win, Lüneburg Levels Semis
The BR Volleys are one win away from the finals after another dominant 3:0 (25:19, 25:21, 25:19) victory over Giesen. In front of a packed crowd in Hildesheim, Berlin shined once more, with Jake Hanes leading the charge with 24 points and 5 aces. Their next shot at the finals? Sunday at home in the Max-Schmeling-Halle.
Meanwhile, in a wild five-set battle, Lüneburg came back from 0:2 down to beat Friedrichshafen 3:2. Jackson Young kept the Häfler hopes alive, but Lüneburg had the edge in the final points thanks to clutch serves and big blocks. The semifinal series is now tied 1–1.
