VfB Suhl LOTTO Thüringen claimed a notable 3–1 home victory over defending champion SSC Palmberg Schwerin, moving into second place in Germany’s Volleyball Bundesliga.

Backed by more than 1,200 fans in Suhl, the hosts won 25–23, 25–20, 22–25, 25–19, extending their strong run following qualification for the DVV Cup final earlier this week.
Suhl controlled the match early, with Schwerin briefly responding in the third set before the home side closed out the contest. Mackenzie Foley led Suhl’s attack and was named match MVP. The loss marked another setback for Schwerin, while Suhl will look to carry its momentum into an upcoming league match in Dresden.
