Dresden edged a tight first set 25–23, but Stuttgart responded with improved serving and a more stable block to take control of the match. The visitors leveled with a 25–20 second set before pulling away in the third, using sustained pressure to claim it 25–19.
The fourth set was closely contested, with Dresden fighting back late, but Stuttgart remained steady in the closing points and sealed the match 25–22.
