Suhl continued their remarkable season by reaching the final for the first time in club history. The Thüringen side defeated defending champions SSC Palmberg Schwerin in straight sets, winning 3:0 (25:22, 25:22, 25:17) to complete a 2–0 series sweep.

Dresden, meanwhile, advanced after a hard-fought five-set victory over Allianz MTV Stuttgart. In front of 3,000 fans, the team coached by Alexander Waibl won 3:2 (20:25, 25:21, 25:23, 24:26, 15:13). After a slow start, Dresden grew into the match, with improved reception and a strong collective display. A key contribution came from young substitute Teresa Ziegenbalg, while top scorer Marta Levinska delivered decisive points in the closing stages.

The final marks the first all-central German showdown in the competition. Suhl are chasing a maiden title, while Dresden aim to secure their seventh championship and first since 2021. The best-of-five series begins on April 15 in Suhl.
