Christiane Fürst decided not to play for the German national team any more, which was the news followed by the separation between the German Volleyball Federation and its head coach Giovanni Guidetti. Is there another blow waiting for the volleyball in that country? No, apparently.

Positive news came from China. Margareta Kozuch, a captain of the German team was clear: I’ll continue to play for Germany in any case and to hold on to my dream of participating at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016.”

Kozuch entered the Chinese playoff finals with Shanghai where she will play for the title against Bayi.

That does not leave her much time to deal with the events in Germany. Still, Kozuch was not particularly surprised by the development.

It now seems like it all happened overnight, but it was clear for some time that changes were necessary and we have to look for new ways to work together if we want to achieve the goal – ‘Rio 2016’. We’ll keep our team spirit and I want to say at the end, I’ll give everything for that, even though, it will be harder now. Christiane is an irreplaceable middle blocker and Guidetti’s departure also doesn’t come too easily. I have to thank him infinitely for past eight years and each player can only wish to have such a coach at their side”, the official website of the German Volleyball Federation transferred Kozuch’s words.
