György Grozer, who retired from the international volleyball, a year and a half ago, decided to accept the invitation of Giani and return to the national team for the continental championship, which will be held in Poland on August 24 to September 3.

Recall that Germany failed to qualify for the 2018 FIVB World Championship, playing without Grozer in the Qualifiers, which was certainly one of the most decisive reasons for the player to reunite with the group.

„Georg is our bundle of energy. He is so disciplined, he pushes himself and the others, he demands of himself and of the others a 100 percent. He is in a good physical form,“ coach Giani has spoken about Grozer’s return to the national team.

A 14-man list of German NT for the 2017 EuroVolley:

Michael Andrei (Düren), Noah Baxpöhler (Lüneburg), Egor Bogachev (BR Volleys), Marcus Böhme (Lubin/POL), Christian Fromm (Arkas Spor/TUR), György Grozer (Novosibirsk/RUS), Simon Hirsch (Monza/ITA), Lukas Kampa (Jastrzębski /POL), Denys Kaliberda (Ziraat Bankası/TUR), Tobias Krick (United Volleys), Moritz Reichert (Tours/FRA), Ruben Schott (Milano/ITA), Julian Zenger (United Volleys), Jan Zimmermann (Poitiers/FRA).
