VfB Friedrichshafen defeated TSV Herrsching in four sets, partially 25-19, 25-15, 23-25, 31-29, in Round 18 and extended their winning streak, that started in the opening round, to 18 games!
Since his team secured No.1 in the previous round, Friedrichshafen coach Vital Heynen decided to rest some of his most reliable players, mixing up the lineup a bit. For instance, the Pole Bartłomiej Bołądź, Greek Athanasios Protopsaltis and Philipp Collin remained on the bench.
Daniel Malescha topped Friedrichshafen with 23 points, Bulgarian Martin Atanasov served 4 aces, while Norwegian Andreas Takvam made 4 kill blocks. In Herrsching, Tom Strohbach scored 19 points.
