AEK put up a strong fight with standout performances from Guewe Diouf (27 points) and Stamatía Kyparíssi (18 points). However, a few costly errors in the tie-break handed Panathinaikos the edge and their perfect record stayed intact.

Set scores were tight, 23–25, 25–22, 22–25, 25–23, before Panathinaikos closed out the final set 15–9. Head coach Alessandro Chiappini praised his players’ resilience, saying:

“AEK played very well, but we stayed focused when it mattered most. This win means a lot for our confidence.”
