Olympiacos
Last season, in the first game of the two teams in Thessaloniki, Olympiacos managed to prevail, but then PAOK achieved five consecutive victories and won the double crown (league and Cup).
This season, Olympiacos prevailed again, but this time they did it by showing a much better play.
Players of Italian coach Roberto Piazza were more determined and weren’t afraid of a fiery atmosphere created by 4,000 PAOK’s fans.
On the other hand, PAOK showed many weaknesses, especially in the second set and it’s no surprise that they suffered three defeats in the championship so far.
Latvian Hermans Egleskalns was the best scorer in winning team with 20 points. Cuan Rolando Cepeda had 27 in PAOK.
