After both taking parts in exhausting semifinals of the 2018 Greek cup semifinals, yesterday, city rivals PAOK and Iraklis Thessaloniki 2015 crossed their spears in the title game for the first time ever. The more famous team prevailed in straight sets, partially 25-18, 25-16, 25-18, in the clash that was held in the island of Rhodes.

In the semifinals, PAOK eliminated fierce rivals Olympiacos S.F.P., while Iraklis beat Panathinaikos A.O. Both games ended in the tie-break.

PAOK won the trophy in the national cup for the second time in the club history (2015, 2018). Their outside hitter Rafael Koumentakis was named the MVP of the final tournament.
