Perugia needed four sets to defeat Modena 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 23-25, 25-16).

In the first two sets, the home team controlled the situation on the court, taking a 2-0 lead. Modena only managed to force the fourth set, where they had to surrender and to congratulate Perugia.

Wilfredo Leon was the top scorer with 25 points (5 aces) while Aleksandar Atanasijevic contributed with 21 points, including 4 aces.

Tine Urnuat had 17 in Modena and Ivan Zaytsev added 15 points. Max Holt scored 13 and all of these performances were not enough to beat Perugia.

Tsvetan Sokolov (17 points) and Osmany Juantorena (15 points) have created a new win of Lube in the domestic league. They defeated Sora in straight sets. Dusan Petkovic was the top scorer with 19 points, but he didn’t have a help from his teammates.

Trentino had a really difficult game against BCC Castellana. The home team gave a huge resistance, forcing the tie-break. However, Trentino as a much-experienced side won the game 3-2 and left the rival winless so far in the league.

Another team that didn’t manage to score a victory in these seven games is Siena. They suffered the 7th defeat in Padova… Luigi Randazzo was the best scorer in Padova with 22, while Fernando Hernandez had  20 on the other side.

The French national team opposite Stephen Boyer has scored 22 points in a 3-0 win of Verona over Ravenna. It was an important win of Nikola Grbic’s side.
