ITA M: Milano make major upset by defeating Modena, Trentino’s 20th consecutive win!

The major surprise of the men's Italian Serie A1 was made by Milano!

Led by Nimir Abdelaziz, Milano downed Modena in straight sets 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-20). The Dutch opposite scored 19 points to create the 10th win for Milano and the fourth defeat for Modena.

Robert Bednorz was the top scorer in Modena with 14 points, while Ivan Zaytsev had 8 points. 

Trentino have scored the 20th consecutive win counting all competition! It’s an impressive scoring run and the 20th team they defeated was Vibo Valentia.

Aaron Russell (12 points) and Uros Kovacevic (11 points) were the best scorers in this win of Trentino, keeping the team in the first position.

Milano – Modena 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-20)

Padova – Sora 3-2 (25-18, 25-21, 24-26, 13-25, 15-6)

Siena – Latina 2-3 (23-25, 25-20, 24-26, 25-17, 12-15)

Verona – Castellana 3-1 (25-21, 24-26, 25-18, 25-20)

Vibo Valentia – Trentino 0-3 (23-25, 16-25, 18-25)

Saturday:

Perugia – Lube 3-1 (25-23, 26-24, 18-25, 25-15)

Ravenna – Monza 3-2 (25-21, 25-20, 19-25, 20-25, 15-13)
