Italian volleyball is closing ranks! Claudio Durigon and Vito Cozzoli, presidents of the men’s Lega Pallavolo Serie A and the Lega Volley Femminile, met to lay the groundwork for what they call an unprecedented collaboration. In a joint press release, the leagues said they want to protect club investments, optimise resources and speak “with a single, authoritative voice” to Italian and international institutions. That covers relations with FIPAV, international calendar talks with CEV and FIVB, dealings with the Government, and possible shared commercial projects and events. Each league keeps their own identity.
