Lube Civitanova
Lube Civitanova had a really difficult game against Monza in the quarterfinals. Ferdinando de Giorgi’s side barely defeated the rival after playing the five-set game. Monza have managed to tie the game and to force the tie-break. However, Lube managed to win this part of the game by 19-17 and to claim the semifinal spot.
Modena, led by Bartosz Bednorz who scored 23 points, defeated Milano in four sets to advance to the semifinals.
In the semifinals, Lube will meet Trentino, while Perugia will play against Modena. The matches will be played on February 9.
Men’s Italian national Cup:
Modena – Milano 3-1 (28-30, 25-22, 25-22, 25-20)
Lube – Monza 3-2 (25-21, 25-15, 20-25, 23-25, 19-17)
Wednesday:
Perugia – Padova 3-1 (25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19)
Trentino – Verona 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-21)
