Sir Safety Conad Perugia appealed to the Italian League because of the length of the penalty imposed on their player Aleksandar Atanasijević for the incident with Santiago Orduna and their effort was successful.

As the Italian League announced, the first referee of the encounter between Sir Safety Conad Perugia and Vero Volley Monza omitted some details of the incident for which Atanasijević was suspended for two games. And since these details go into the favor of the Serbian opposite hitter, and which Perugia properly presented in their appeal, the penalty on Atanasijević has been reduced from two to one match and he will only miss opening duel against Azimut Leo Shoes Modena in the 2018/19 SuperLega Credem Banca playoff semifinals.

Another good news for Perugia fans is that a one-game ban for their middle blocker Fabio Ricci was revised into fine of € 3,100 and he will be at the disposal of the head coach Lorenzo Bernardi from the start of the series against Modena.

Penalties that the Italian League imposed on Monza duo Santigao Orduna and Donovan Džavoronok remain the same.

Orduna began this conflict, spat on Atanasianjević, as Aleks would have reacted differently.
