Bartosz-Kurek
Due to a back injury, Bartosz Kurek finished the season! It means that a famous opposite hitter will not be able to help his teammates in the Plus Liga 2018/2019 playoff semifinals against Jastrzębski Węgiel which starts today.
Kurek has been struggling with the pain for a while. The medical tests have shown that it requires urgent treatment to prevent the injury from deepening which would cause risk to the athlete’s health.
As some media in Poland reported, ONICO are close to signing the best scorer of the national league Maciej Muzaj from Trefl Gdańsk (still has a valid contract with the club) as Kurek’s replacement. The PlusLiga rules allow special kinds of transfers outside the transfer window which is called the medical joker.
