USA Edges Italy in Thriller
Defending champions USA outlasted Italy in a five-set showdown (29-31, 25-23, 25-21, 28-30, 15-8). Outside hitter Macaria Spears led with 24 points, backed by Suliane Davis and Jordan Taylor, who both scored 19.
Poland’s Dominance Continues
Poland swept Japan 3-0, staying unbeaten. Their defense shone with 19 blocks, including standout efforts from Maja Koput and Maria Kaczmarzyk. Coach Marcin Orlik praised the team’s unity and determination.
Türkiye Outclasses China
Türkiye booked their semifinal spot by defeating China 3-1. Ceren Hasdemir led with 18 points, while Türkiye’s net play and mental toughness stood out.
Bulgaria Stuns Brazil
Bulgaria took down previously undefeated Brazil 3-1, with Kalina Veneva delivering a game-high 23 points. Coach Atanas Petrov lauded his team’s fight and composure.
