
The Netherlands came out on top in a thrilling five-set clash against Czechia on Saturday, earning a 3-2 win that helped push Germany into the Women’s Volleyball Nations League Finals.
Powered by Elles Dambrink’s 21 points, the Dutch team thrilled the home crowd in Apeldoorn. Young standouts Helena Kok and Britte Stuut added solid performances in a rollercoaster match.
“This crowd carried us,” said outside hitter Iris Vos, praising the fans’ support.
The victory reshapes the standings for the final VNL Finals spot. USA currently leads the race, while the Netherlands and Czechia trail closely behind, all still in the hunt for the last berth.
Despite the loss, Czechia fought hard, led by Monika Brancuska with 19 points.
