In a duel of the leaders and vice-leaders of the 2019/20 Lega Pallavolo Serie A Femminile regular season, valid for Round 13, Imoco imposed supremacy over Busto. The world champions didn’t allow rivals to collect more than 15 points in any of the sets 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-15). Because of being in such a subordinate position in the match, Busto failed to level with Imoco in the charts and their huge winning streak, that consisted of 8 games, has been interrupted. Paola Egonu was on a high-level as usual, scoring 18 points for the titleholders, while American Karsta Lowe was the closest to making double digits of all Busto players with 8 points. This round was the last round before the break from the club season due to the Olympic Qualifications. The Serie A will be continued on January 15.
Third-placed Igor Gorgonzola Novara and fourth-placed Savino Del Bene Scandicci recorded straight-set wins each, while Banca Valsabbina Millenium Brescia managed to end their quite long losing streak (6 defeats in a row).
