In 2020, Monza will have a new player on their roster – an American outside hitter Kathryn Plummer, one of the biggest prospects of U.S. volleyball at the moment. The player who wore the jersey of the Stanford Cardinal, with whom she won the 2019 NCAA Championship, will arrive in the Serie A side on January 6.

The 21-year-old Plummer is the only player in the history of this sport in her country to win FIVB World Championship medals in both beach and indoor volleyball in the same year (indoor – silver at 2015 FIVB Girls’ U18 World Championship; beach – gold at 2015 FIVB Beach Girls’ U17 World Championship). She won this year’s Pan American Cup with the senior national team. Plummer was named Most Outstanding Player of the 2019 NCAA Championship and elected on the all-tournament team.
