The 34-year-old former Serbia National Team member Stanković will wear the jersey of Italy’s Modena next season.

Given that he has been living and playing in Italy for the last 11 years, Stanković gained the right to obtain Italian citizenship and will compete in the 2020/21 SuperLega as a domestic player. The 2011 CEV EuroVolley and 2016 FIVB Volleyball Nations League winner defended the colors of Gas Sales Piacenza last season.

This is just the proof how long are promises honored in professional volleyball. Last year Lube said that Stankovic, belowed El Capetano, will be coming back next year when he obtain Italian citizenship, he’s been with Lube for 10 years, and we want him back.
