Globo Banca Popolare del Frusinate Sora withdrew from participating in the next edition of the Italian men’s volleyball Championship.

Sora, who have been members of SuperLega since 2016, announced that they have made the decision to give up on competing in the next edition of the national championship.

The club based in central Italy stressed that its decision couldn’t have been different given this particular moment, indirectly explaining that it had financial difficulties related to coronavirus situation. Last season Sora finished at the very bottom of the SuperLega charts with only one win and 19 defeats.

Several big names wore the jersey of this club such as: Salvatore Rossini, Simone Anzani, Kay van Dijk, Dušan Petković, and Valentin Bratoev.
