The one-time CEV Women’s Volleyball Champions League winners Èpiù Pomì Casalmaggiore have big problems to gather all players for the start of the preparations for the next season.

Italy’s Casalmaggiore expressed resentment against the country’s Olympic Committee (CONI) for not issuing the clearance to an American duo of players Carli Lloyd – Kara Bajema to enter Italy. Namely, Casalmaggiore’s reinforcements from Turkey’s Eczacıbaşı VitrA and Washington University, respectively, can’t come in because the Visa Office of CONI hasn’t yet done its work on the authorization although the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV) and regional authorities have issued all the necessary documents from their competence.

Casalmaggiore blame CONI for laziness due to which the entrance to Italy is blocked for weeks not only for Lloyd and Bajema but for 29 other foreign volleyball players of Serie A.
