Flavio Gulinelli (coach BCC-NEP Castellana Grotte): “It’s a result that makes us very happy, and in spite of some unfair critics, at the end of the first set we fought hard for the shirt and obtained a historical result for us and Castellana Grotte at the end of a difficult encounter. Our opponents had nothing to lose and they came here to play all out. We handled this situation well, imposed our game and deservedly won”.
Mauro Fresa (coach CMC Ravenna): “We tried our best but Castellana was excellent and led by a superb Sabbi, who really hurt us with his serve. We lacked consistency on the serve, especially in the clutch moments, and some referee decisions have probably not done us any favour either. But let’s think about the future, we’ve been thinking about it for a while, the club will take its decisions. But in the meantime, we’ll try to finish the season with dignity against Trento next Sunday”.
