ITA W: Piacenza first time in final

For the first time in history of Italian league Rebecchi Nordmeccanica PIACENZA will play for the title. In second match girls from PIACENZA defeated Foppapedretti BERGAMO 3:0 and took a visa for the Champions League for the season 2013/2014.

In last semifinal match the best scorer was Floortje Meijners with 15 points, who was followed by Carmen Turlea 13 and Martina Guiggi 10. In the losing team Chiara Di Iulio made 15 points and the BERGAMO was unlucky because libero Erica Merlon got injury in second set.

Host team start well in the first set, but PIACENZA took lead 11:8 after the high blocks of Leggeri and Meijners. Coach of BERGAMO Stefano Lavarini called time out and his team come near 11:12, but Ferretti had good service and the results at the end was 25:20 for PIACENZA.

Second set was different than first. BERGAMO started with Diouf as opposite and it lead 6:3 and 10:7. After defense libero Merlo fall to the ground and the game was stop for a few minutes. Eleonora Bruno replaced her in the court. After time-out, Bosetti and Turlea start to play excellent and after some time PIACENZA lead 13:15, 14:19., 18:22 and 20:25.

In the third set Brown carries out BERGAMO 3:1 but PIACENZA turned result on its side (7:10) thanks to Meijners. Until the end on the court was one team 25:15.

In the final PIACENZA will play against CONEGLIANO, first match is on friday at 15 p.m.
