The reigning Italian men’s volleyball club champions Cucine Lube Civitanova continued with contract renewals.
After Anzani and Balaso, Lube announced that they have renewed the contract of Gabriel García Fernández ‘Gabi’. The 23-year-old Puerto Rican opposite hitter will stay in the ranks of reigning SuperLega champions for 2 more years, which came as a kind of reward for successfully filling the gap in the lineup at the beginning of the season when Ivan Zaytsev was injured.
Gabi signed with Lube last summer after a successful college career in which he competed for Brigham Young University and was named MVP of the NCAA in his last season there.
