Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano secured their spot in the Serie A1 semifinals after defeating E-Work Busto Arsizio 3-0 in Game 2 of the quarterfinals.
The win sees Conegliano move one step closer to the championship title, while Busto Arsizio will compete in the playoffs for a chance to access the Challenge Cup.
Despite attempts by Busto Arsizio to challenge Conegliano, particularly at the beginning of sets, the visitors always managed to stretch their lead and escape. Led by Haak with 15 points and Squarcini with 11 and MVP honors, Conegliano achieved their goal in just 1 hour and 24 minutes, only struggling slightly in the third set.
Conegliano will now face the winner of the quarterfinal series between Chieri and Novara in the Serie A1 Semifinals, while Busto Arsizio will play in the Round Robin phase of the Playoff Challenge.
