Igor Gorgonzola Novara, fresh from a 3-0 victory, beat TrasportiPesanti Casalmaggiore 3-1 in an intense two-hour match. MVP Vita Akimova stood out with 22 points, while Anna Danesi contributed eight blocks. However, Malwina Smarzek’s 26 points for Casalmaggiore went in vain.
Savino Del Bene Scandicci, on the other hand, secured an away win against UYBA Volley Busto Arsizio. The match saw stellar performances from Federica Carletti (26 points) and Giorgia Frosini (16). But Ekaterina Antropova’s magnificent 31 points stole the show.
Roma Volley Club had a disappointing home game, losing all sets to Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76, with the U.S.A. duo Kingdon-Skinner contributing 32 points. Volley Bergamo 1991 also faced defeat at PalaFacchetti, falling to Megabox Ond. Savio Vallefoglia despite strong performances from Davyskiba and Lorrayna.
In the evening match, Il Bisonte Firenze won the first two sets, only for Wash4Green Pinerolo to bounce back, pushing the game into a tie-break and won it by 15-13. Maja Storck shone with 28 points, clinching the MVP title. Despite a combined 41 points from Ishikawa and Alsmeier, Firenze could only earn one point.
