Wasim Ben Tara led all scorers with 18 points, supported by Plotnytskyi (14), Solé (12), and Semeniuk (13). The hosts took the first two sets, dropped the third, but closed strong in the fourth. MVP honors went to Solé for his dominance at the net.
Piacenza’s Maar and Mandiraci each scored 16, but 13 attack errors, including six in the final set, cost them dearly. With Game 2 set for May 3 in Piacenza, the home side must win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
