Itas Trentino has been crowned Italian Champions after a thrilling 3-2 win over Cucine Lube Civitanova in Game 4 of the SuperLega Credem Banca Finals. The victory, sealed at the Eurosuole Forum, gives Trentino their sixth Scudetto in club history.
After dropping the first set, Trentino bounced back strong, winning the next two. Civitanova forced a fifth set, but the tie-break belonged to Trento, with Kamil Rychlicki smashing home the championship point.
It’s a dream come true for head coach Fabio Soli, who grabs his first title with the team since taking over in 2023. Several players, including Michieletto, Sbertoli, Lavia, and Laurenzano, picked up their second titles with Trento, repeating their 2022/23 triumph — also against Civitanova.
This win cements Trentino’s place as one of Italy’s top volleyball dynasties:
Titles: 2008, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2023, 2025
Alessandro Michieletto led the charge for Trentino with 22 points. He was well supported by Daniele Lavia with 13 points, and Rychlicki, who contributed 12 points, including the match-winner. Middle blocker Kozamernik also chipped in with 7 points.
On Civitanova’s side, Nikolov shone with a match-high 23 points, followed by Bottolo with 19, and Gargiulo with 9.
