In front of a sold-out PalaTrieste, Vero Volley Milano ended Prosecco Doc A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano’s six-year domination of Italian volleyball, winning the Supercoppa Fineco 2025 with a thrilling 3–2 victory.
Led by coach Stefano Lavarini, Milano played with intelligence, determination, and perfect timing. The match lasted over two hours, and the MVP title went to Paola Egonu, outstanding with 30 points, including 10 in the decisive tie-break.
After Conegliano took the first set 25–18 behind Isabelle Haak’s 11 points, Milano fought back. The team’s comeback—driven by Egonu, Emma Cagnin, and Khalia Lanier—leveled the match. Milano then dominated the third set with strong defense and precision blocks from Hena Kurtagic and Anna Danesi.
Conegliano reacted in the fourth, but in the final tie-break, Egonu rose above all, leading Milano to a 15–12 win and their first national trophy.
League President Mauro Fabris praised the event’s success and Trieste’s passionate fans, noting that the growth of women’s volleyball now demands larger venues.
