What a match in Verona and what a show by Keita and company! Verona convincingly defeated Trentino 3–1 in front of 5,000 fans, reclaiming the Adige Derby after more than three years. With this win, Verona remains at the top of the SuperLega Credem Banca 2025/26 standings, still undefeated and alone in first place.

The home team dominated thanks to their strong serving and counterattack, especially after the first set. Trentino had started well, winning the opening set 25–21 with solid play in both attack and defense. However, Verona bounced back quickly, producing an incredible second set with six direct aces and keeping control in the following sets, which were more balanced but had a similar outcome.

Coach Fabio Soli’s men found rhythm and confidence, while Marcelo Mendez’s Trentino struggled to respond despite moments of advantage in the third and fourth sets. The difference came from the serve line, particularly from Darlan and Keita, who was named MVP with 26 points, eight aces, 53% attack efficiency, and one block.

For Trentino, only Faure (15 points, 53% attack) and Michieletto (11 points) reached double figures, with the latter shining mainly in the first set.
