The match, played at the packed Palasport di Cuneo in front of nearly 4,000 fans, started brightly for the home side. Cuneo took the opening set 25–21, feeding off the crowd’s energy. But Trentino quickly turned things around, tightening their defense and controlling the pace to win the next three sets — 25–18, 25–19, and 25–23.
