Grbić arrived in Belgrade to start the preperations with the Serbian national team, and he revealed to the local media that he parted ways with Perugia.

“They told me – you are a true expert, great coach and a wonderful man, but we need someone with more experience. I did not have a signed contract with Perugia. Also the fact that I became the head coach of Serbia meant that I would return to Perugia only one week before the start of the new season. Those were the things which made the situation significantly complicated.” said Grbić and then added:

“Anyway, I am very grateful to the President of Perugia for giving me the opportunity to lead the team which was created for making big results. Perugia has played in the Champions League for the first time in history. It was a huge experience for me, and I will forever be grateful for that. His decision to change the coach was only his and I could not affect it. The time will tell was it a good call or not.”

So, Perugia is officially looking for a new coach. What do you think, who will replace Grbić?
