Megabox Ondulati del Savio Vallefoglia outside hitter Loveth Omoruyi has undergone successful knee surgery after being injured during Italy’s preparations for the European Championships.
The procedure, performed by Dr. Raul Zini and his team at Maria Cecilia Hospital GVM in Cotignola, included ACL reconstruction, repairs to both the medial and lateral meniscus, and treatment of cartilage damage.
Omoruyi has already begun rehabilitation and will use crutches while keeping the knee unloaded for the first month.
“Day zero, a new chapter starts here,” the Italian international wrote on Instagram, pledging to approach her recovery with “patience and determination.”
