For some time there were rumors that Perugia was looking to reinforce its roster with one American player. Some sources were hinting that Italian powerhouse was interested in Paul Lotman, ex-Asseco Resovia player, however Perugia was actually pursuing Aaron Russell!
And, two sides have finally made an agreement! Russell has signed a two-year contract with the Block Devils.
“Acquiring Russell was a difficult job, because many clubs were asking about him. But, our management did a great work and they persuaded the boy to join us. He is very talented and has already played on the high level, so I think he will fit into our team perfectly” said Daniel Castellani, the head coach of Perugia.
